nice staff, good area - but needs renovation
The staff is extremely nice and tries to compensate the deficits of the hotel. Best price for this area. Breakfast is very good.
The hotel needs renovation urgently. You can see that it has a great structure that once upon a day has been modern.

The hotel needs urgent refurbishment! The building is too old and needs attention. The furniture is old and needs to be replaced, specially the reception area.

Poor hotel, terrible facilities but decent staff.
The staff are okay, rodrigo for example is what saved the experience from being a complete disaster.
The fitness area is poorly looked after, broken equipment, the spa and sauna is completely ruined, it hasn't been used in years. The swimming pool has missing tiles and was swimming in a sea of dead bugs. Theres a message in the rooms that theres no need to bring towels as there are towels there. It's not true, theres two baskets there with a message that says clean towels but there weren't any. I asked for some and they never arrived. This was at 11 am, then later when I came back at 4pm there was still no towels. The Seats in the pool look rotten. Had to move rooms twice, once due to broken air conditioning, which started to smoke, then afterwards because the staff gave us a adjoining room. The drivers kept putting the car on 4x4 which is completely unnecessary, not only that but doing it in a way that could break the car.

I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Brasilia and I've tried others. For me, The Carlton is Brasilia.
I have been staying at the Carlton for over 16 years. The staff are the best I have seen anywhere in the world and I have travelled a lot. I always look forward to staying there, never disappointed.
